Candy Cane
Tied to you through an invisible chain
I wonder if I can get far away from you on an airplane
As we sit by the sea, watching the train
Passing by, eating your favourite candy cane.
Your anger, our downfall
Pulling me closer, won’t make you small.
My pillow stained every night
A hug won’t heal this tonight.
If you, hear me sing again
Your heart will bleed in pain.
Eyes remain dry, even in heavy rain
Walk away.
A stare that once melted my heart
Has reached its expiration
Don’t run to me, I am leaving your memory on our final station.
Your efforts rendered completely in vain.
Sit by yourself on the beach now,
It’ll be lonely but I left you some champagne.
Don’t call my name again and again,
I am not your candy or cane.
This time its me walking away, finally breaking the chain.

The original poem that I wrote on ‘Candy Canes’ was very Christmas-sy and so I changed it up a lot. I hope some of you like it and if now feel free to criticize it as much as possible! (^_^)
